Sneaking out after a training mission, Horde soldier Adora finds an uncanny sword in the Whispering Woods. Princess Glimmer wants it for the Rebellion.
I have never seen the original He-Man or She-Ra cartoons but this was spectacular. The art is absolutely beautiful, and Adora as a protagonist is so fun to watch. The side characters all hold their own as well with special abilities and fun personalities. It will be interesting to see how the conflict between the princesses and the Horde plays out as the show progresses. As a newcomer to this world myself, it is clear that you don't need any prior knowledge of the old cartoons to watch. It's a fun, fresh start to an older show for a new audience, much like Voltron: Legendary Defender, albeit more magical.
