It is the Summer of 2010. Scientists estimate that the BP DEEPWATER HORIZON OIL SPILL has leaked 5 million barrels of crude into the GULF COAST, making it the world's largest oil spill of its kind. Meanwhile, on COMEDY CENTRAL, a disaster of another kind was about to unfold. JON HEDER had vanished.... ....from the cast list of the GARY SANCHEZ PRODUCTIONS single-camera sitcom, BIG LAKE. In his absence, producers WILL FERRELL and ADAM McKAY sought out the talents of a relative unknown, UCB long-form improviser and CROSSBALLS writer CHRIS GETHARD to portray a young man named JOSH FRANKLIN who returns home in disgrace after causing the collapse of a major investment bank. Ten years later, THE GEORGE LUCAS TALK SHOW prepares to re-visit the first and (so far) only season of this single camera comedy with fresh eyes. Retired filmmaker GEORGE LUCAS (Big Lake laugh track audience member CONNOR RATLIFF) and his sidekick WATTO (Big Lake guest star GRIFFIN NEWMAN) will watch all 10 episodes in one day, slightly less time than it took for Comedy Central to burn them off during their original and only airing. They will be joined, as always, by their naptastic, snackeriffic producer PATRICK COTNOIR, who moved to New York City just days before the broadcast of Big Lake Episodes VII & VIII. He has booked an array of spectacular SPECIAL GUESTS (basically every single Big Lake-connected person who would agree to come on the show today). Throughout, they will be raising money for WATER.ORG, a global nonprofit organization which has empowered more than 29 million people with access to safe water or sanitation....
