Alex checks her temperature and confirms that she has the same low body temperature as her son Holden. She goes to Max's room and Mrs. Ellison says that the antibiotics aren't working. She asks if it's time for her to sign a DNR, and Alex promises that she won't give up. As Mrs. Ellison hugs her, Alex glances at the vein pulsing on her throat and hears the woman's heartbeat.
