The season gets progressively better, don't worry. :)

It was a good episode though. Like the Simpsons, they write episodes long before they are released, and these episodes have probably been done for over a year. If anything they should just avoid topics of technology which are bleeding edge, but that can be hard to avoid for a show whose premise is to parody tech and science in the real modern world, when the trends in the real world are changing so fast.
My favorite line in the episode was when Bender's abuela, Abuelatron, calls him Bendejo which if you don't know the word "pendejo" sounds like it could be a cute pet name for him lol
