With Tash finished exams and Summer having quit her job at the Erinsborough News, Karl worries the girls are at a loose end and need a distraction. Carmel comes to the rescue, suggesting they keep busy by volunteering at the Community Christmas Appeal. Unaware of Carmels ulterior motive to spend time with him, Karl attends as well.
