Charles Rangeley-Wilson travels to Bhutan, where the king gives him a week's permit to fish for brown trout. The species' ancestors started life in a loch in Scotland before being introduced to the rivers of the Himalayan kingdom in the early 20th century. In the spring-fed stream of the Gangtey Valley and the torrential Tang River, Charles braves extreme cold and altitude sickness in search of his precious catch.
