A white, open, not updated living/dining space is unified with a beach and travel inspired design and cohesive floor plan. A custom climbing wall made from reclaimed wood runs along one wall and the same wood frames the TV on the opposite wall above the newly faced fireplace. Hardwood flooring replaces old carpet, and a new glass top bar area with modern stainless bar stools replaces an outdated railing. A travel theme is carried through a custom dining table top, starburst mirrors, and a photo project guaranteed to stimulate conversation.
