'Secrets of the London Underground' on track for new fourth series on Yesterday and UKTV Play

UKTV has commissioned a new fourth series of Secrets of the London Underground (10x60') from Brown Bob, for its leading factual channel Yesterday and free streaming service UKTV Play, set to air later this year.

Secrets of the London Underground has quickly gained a loyal audience on Yesterday, reaching over 10.1m individuals across all series to date, and is among the top performing Yesterday titles on UKTV Play.

The new series is filming now, reuniting rail historian Tim Dunn (The Architecture The Railways Built) and Siddy Holloway from London Transport Museum, as they unearth more fascinating secrets about the Tube's rich history.

As part of her work developing the museum's Hidden London programme of tours, which takes the public into secret parts of the London Underground, Siddy has the keys to many locked away places that reveal fascinating details of British social and rail history. Chris Nix, Assistant Director at London Transport Museum, will also be acting as Historical Consultant to share the fascinating stories that were unveiled from the museum's archives.

Secrets of the London Underground will air in a peak time slot in 2024 on UKTV's free-to-air Yesterday channel, with all previous series currently available to stream for free on UKTV Play. It will join a raft of original programming, including the recently announced new series of Find It, Fix It, Flog It, Bangers & Cash, Canal Boat Diaries and Dream Car Fixers.

UKTV recently announced its intention to launch 'U' - a new Masterbrand that will unite its family of free-to-air channels and its free streaming service. Launching in Summer, the move will see its current streaming service UKTV Play transition to U and UKTV's family of free-to-air channels will become U&Dave, U&DRAMA, U&YESTERDAY and U&W.
