Laura Harbin began her film and television career at Shaftesbury Films, and over her sixteen years there she was on the producing team for over 35 titles, including Murdoch Mysteries, ReGenesis and Life with Derek. In 2011 she joined Temple Street Productions as Senior Director of Scripted Programming, overseeing development and production of the final season of the award-winning series Being Erica, kid's series, Wingin' It, the hit dance-based tween series The Next Step and the music-based tween series Lost & Found Music Studios. In 2015, in addition to Executive Producing The Next Step's fourth season Laura wrote five episodes and directed two. That same year, Laura wrote two Lost & Found Music Studios episodes. In 2017 she wrote for the kids web-series Emerald Code and in 2018 she co-wrote an episode of Hudson & Rex.
