A member of the Writers Guild of Canada, Deanne sits on the board of directors for the St. John's Women's International Film Festival. She is the past recipient of the CTV Fellowship for Banff TV Festival, INSPIRED: Documentary Training Program funded by CTV/IFC/NFB/AFF, and Telefilm's Emerging Filmmaker's Grant among others.
