Leslie Edward "Les" Claypool is an American musician, producer, writer, director, and actor, best known as a founder and the only continuous member of progressive funk metal band Primus. As a musician, Les is known for his very distinctive and unusual style of playing different variations of bass, including electric bass guitar, upright bass, double bass, and the Chapman Stick. Les wrote and performed the main title themes for the animated series Robot Chicken and South Park. Among his other well-known projects are experimental rock band Colonel Les Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade and collaboration with Sean Lennon in The Claypool Lennon Delirium.
Currently Les lives near Occidental, California, with his wife Chaney Claypool, their son Cage Oliver Claypool, and their daughter Lena Tallulah Claypool. His home is called Rancho Relaxo.
