Shiga Kotaro was a Japanese actor. He was born in Hyogo Prefecture.
On April 9, 2019, newspapers reported that Shiga had to undergo emergency surgery for a stroke. According to his agency, he had been experiencing numbness and had difficulty producing words due to cerebral thrombosis. As such, he received surgery on the morning of April 6. After receiving an examination, doctors said that he did not suffer a stroke, and it is not life-threatening.
On April 20, 2020, Shiga Kotaro passed away due to Aspiration pneumonia at the age of 71.
