BORN AND RAISED IN NOVA SCOTIA,CANADA…
Actor singer Laura Mae Nason started dancing at a young age and soon found joy on the stage and moved into musical theatre with her love of singing and dancing combined.
After taking many classes and performing with Neptune Theatre's Youth Performance Company all throughout high school Laura Mae decided, after graduating, to attend the Canadian College of Performing Arts in Victoria BC.
Since graduating from CCPA she has performed in professional theatres across Canada. From Beauty and the Beast at the Arts Club Theatre in Vancouver BC and all the way back home, for Chicago, to Neptune Theatre in Halifax NS, where her love of musical theatre first began. She has spent 5 seasons at the Charlottetown Festival in PEI doing Anne of Green Gables, Hairspray, Buddy Holly Story and more, and worked extensively for Drayton Entertainment in Ontario (Million Dollar Quartet, Sister Act, Marathon of Hope, Hairspray and more) as well as at the Mayfield Theatre in Edmonton AB (Wedding Singer, Hairspray, Chicago, and upcoming Rock of Ages).
Most recently, Laura Mae was an original cast member of the first international production of the Tony Award winning Broadway show Dear Evan Hansen with Mirvish Productions in Toronto, ON.
Laura Mae has always had a love for design and technology and started her own branding and web design business, Nova Mae Design. She loves helping clients bring their business ideas to life and being a part of launching their passions through branding and their online presence. She also enjoys that she can take this business on the road with her when she is performing!!
