Dina Esfandiary is a predoctoral International Security Program Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center and a Fellow at The Century Foundation. Prior to this, she was an Adjunct Fellow in the Center for Strategic and International Studies' (CSIS) Middle East Program, a Fellow in the Centre for Science and Security Studies in the War Studies department at King's College London from 2015–2018, and a Research Associate in the Non-Proliferation and Disarmament programme of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London from October 2009.
Her research focuses on Persian Gulf security, Iran and its foreign relations, and relations between states and non-proliferation in the Middle East. Dina has published widely and is the co-author of Triple Axis: China, Russia, Iran and Power Politics (I.B Taurus, 2018), and Living on the Edge: Iran and the Practice of Nuclear Hedging(Palgrave Macmillan, 2016). Dina is completing her Ph.D. in the War Studies department at King's College London, and she holds Master's Degrees from Kings College London and the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva.
