At the age of 21 Steven was nominated for a Hollywood Discovery Award at the 6th Annual Hollywood Film Festival for his short film, 'Vodka, Winter and The Cry of Violin', which he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in. The film was awarded 'Best International Short' at the 2003 New York International Independent Film & Video Festival.
