Phil Mattingly

Phil Mattingly is a congressional correspondent for CNN, based in the Washington, DC. Previously, Mattingly worked at Bloomberg Television in Washington, as a print reporter with Bloomberg News in Washington where he received a Society of American Business Editors and Writers award for breaking news. His work has appeared in the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, the New York Times, the New York Post and the Chicago Tribune. Mattingly graduated from the Ohio State University in 2006, where he was a scholar varsity athlete. He received his Master's Degree in journalism from Boston University in 2008. He and his wife have one son.
