Pramode Kumar (also credited as Pramod Kumar) is an Indian actor, producer, director, and writer. He was born in Jabalpur, India. Kumar became interested in acting at a very young age. He frequented movies and plays until he finally decided to pursue theater at the young age 10. He took a small break from acting to complete his Master's in Chemistry from Robertson College of Science in India. With all his past success he longed for the chance to make it in Hollywood. Finally, in 1998, with his wife Pooja's support, he decided it was time to make the move to Los Angeles.
Upon his arrival in Hollywood, Pramode became one of the most recognizable faces, doing 65+ commercials in last 15 years. Eventually he got breaks as a recurring character on My name Is Earl, Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Raising Hope.
Highlights of his other credits include a supporting role in the film Starsky & Hutch, a guest role on the Fox series The Loop, co-star role in the feature A Real Job, for which he was nominated for best Supporting Actor for the DVD Premiere Awards. His movie which he produced and starred in as the lead character, Touch Wood has been released in June 2010.
