Tony Romo

Antonio Ramiro Romo, popularly known as Tony Romo, is a retired American footballer who played for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He began his career playing college football for Eastern Illinois University. His performance with the team was brilliant, and he led the team to an Ohio Valley Conference Championship. Born in San Diego, California, Romo grew up playing football and basketball in his childhood. During his school years, his athletic skills helped him earn several sporting honors. His career with the NFL began when he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys. Soon he became the starting quarterback of the team. Though he announced his retirement after playing for only thirteen years, he is remembered as one of the NFL's most popular and successful players because of his amazing talents in the sport. Also known for his charitable activities in the Dallas area, Romo is involved with several organizations such as the United Way and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. He also appears as a guest quite often on sports radio programs. He co-hosted a one-hour commentary show named ‘Inside the Huddle' along with Bradie James.

In 2009, he started dating Candice Crawford, a former TV journalist and sister of the well-known actor Chace Crawford. They got engaged in 2010 and married in 2011. The following year their first son, Hawkins Crawford Romo, was born. Their second son, Rivers Romo, was born in 2014.
