Paul Baillargeon

Paul Baillargeon is a part time musician for movies, documentaries, and television ... particularly for P.B.S. and Star Trek. He worked on The Big Blue Marble with Rick Berman. Eventually, Rick Berman took over Star Trek and needed part time musicians to work on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, the first occasion that more than one Star Trek produced simultaneously. Paul Baillargeon is the spiritual successor of Ron Jones. Ironically, Paul preferred to score music in the similar manner that Ron Jones was told not to do. Paul Baillargeon is the official successor to John Debney, who left Star Trek for unknown reasons. Other Musicians such as Gregory Smith were also hired. Paul Baillergeon's music style for Star Trek continued the tradition of mystical and psychedelic started by Gerald Fried and especially by George Duning. Also, Paul's episodes are scored on a variation of the theme music. His music for Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise sounds slightly different from each other. While he had not composed any Star Trek Movies, nor any theme music, and not even a two part episode, significant compositions include: The Siege Of AR-558, Blink Of An Eye, and Chosen Realm. Other pieces include an IMAX Movie Lost Worlds: Life In The Balance, and The Night Train To Kathmandu, where Casualty Of The Week Kavi Raz starred in.
