Scott Turow

Scott Turow is an American author and lawyer. He was born in Chicago, Illinois. Turow has written 13 bestselling works of fiction: Presumed Innocent (1987), The Burden of Proof (1990), Pleading Guilty (1993), The Laws of Our Fathers (1996), Personal Injuries (1999), Reversible Errors (2002), Ordinary Heroes (2005), Limitations (2006), Innocent (2010), Identical (2013), Testimony (2017), The Last Trial (2020), and Suspect (2022). Turow's novels are set primarily among the legal community in the fictional Kindle County. He has also written 3 nonfiction books, including One L (1977), about his experience as a law student. His books have been translated into more than 40 languages, sold more than 30 million copies worldwide, and have been adapted into movies and television projects. He has frequently contributed essays and op-ed pieces to publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, and The Atlantic.
