Kate Douglas-Walker

Kate Douglas-Walker is a BBC trained Multi-Camera Director of Live, As-Live, Music, Entertainment, Reality and large scale events. She has developed and helped to shape some of the leading reality formats, including Masterchef Australia and Married at First Sight. She has set up and directed light entertainment studio shows including The Living Room, This Time Next Year, Interview with Andrew Denton and OB's like Triple J's One Night Stand, The Real Full Monty, Australian of the Year Awards and the Sydney NYE fireworks coverage for ABC.

Kate has developed and directed Fixed Rig shows such as First Dates, Secret Life of Four Year Olds, Big Brother UK and many other shows from first series onwards. Her technical training and experience across many different genres has led to a competency and understanding of many shooting formats and styles. She is as confident planning a multi camera shoot in studio as setting up a specialty camera shoot in extreme locations. She is up to date with new technology and shooting styles around the world. Kate knows how to capture the moment elegantly, creatively and with flair. She prides herself on her collaborative approach with Executives and Crew alike.
