Christian Cooper is a Harvard-educated African American writer and editor born and based in New York City. He has worked for Marvel Comics and worked on titles such as "Star Trek," "X-Force," and "The Avengers."
His passion for birdwatching led him to write for several publications, such as Audubon Magazine. He is a member of the board of directors for the New York City Audubon Society and a volunteer on the Central Park bird patrol. Along with writing about birds, he has also served as a panel judge for the National Book Awards.
