Alice Doyard

Alice Doyard is an Oscar-winning French filmmaker specializing in history and the effects of international conflict. She is known for Colette (2020), Terres de cinéma (2017) and Brave Britain with Fergal Keane (2023). The French government made her a Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2021. Vanity Fair magazine named her one of the 50 Most Influential French people the same year. Doyard was born in 1972 in Grenoble, France, one of four children of Jean Doyard, an engineer, and his wife Catherine, a freelance journalist. She moved to Paris in her early teens.
