Sera-Lys McArthur

Sera-Lys McArthur is a Nakota/Assiniboine and German-Canadian actress from Saskatchewan.

She trained in musical theatre at AMDA, NYC, and obtained an MA in Acting with Distinction from East 15 at the University of Essex, UK. Sera-Lys's acting career began in her early youth when she was cast in the CBC miniseries, Revenge of the Land, playing the daughter of her fellow Outlander season 4 cast mate, Carmen Moore. Years later, she was cast in another Smith miniseries, The Englishman's Boy, in which she spoke her endangered ancestral dialect for its first time on an indelible form of public media.

Sera-Lys has been acting professionally for 20 years. She appeared in the film Hard Core Logo II, (a TIFF official selection), directed by Bruce McDonald, and her additional film credits include roles in: Robbery, The Corruption of Divine, Providence, Alterscape and The First Encounter. She has been cast in roles in television series such as Outlander and Netflix's Friends from College and has had recurring roles as Hailey in all 3 seasons of CBC's Arctic Air and as Amanda in 3 seasons of TVO/APTN's Hard Rock Medical. She was nominated for her work as the lead role in TV-movie Skye & Chang at the American Indian Film Festival in San Francisco. She has co-produced and starred in several short films: The Wolf of Waubamik Woods (Comcast Xfinity), Pharmalarm (Canadian Diversity Film Festival) & Magic Madeleines (postproduction).

Sera-Lys is grateful that her career has led her on a path of First Nations cultural education and artistic exploration.
