Episode 3 Recap

Tonight, new bridge officer Lauren faces a series of tests as she edges close to taking the helm. She is called in to help with mooring the 330m long ship in a port built to take much smaller vessels and tasked with launching one of the ship's tender boats, involving lowering it seven decks into the water below. With a driver on board, this is a big moment for Lauren, who has the life of one of her colleagues in her hands.

Executive chef David McDonald is on the warpath after receiving a complaint about afternoon teas. Hauling the pastry team into his office for a severe dressing down, he decides to throw down the gauntlet to the head of pastry Ruel, offering him the chance to redeem himself by creating three unique new desserts for the menu. It's a big risk for Ruel, whose job is on the line if he fails to impress.

Also awaiting his fate in chef's department is galley assistant Nico who has set his hopes on a job on the front desk. With his final trial shift looming, has he done enough to secure a new position in a more glamorous area of the ship?

Hotel services engineer Scott is dealing with a flood from one of the ornamental marble fountains in the busiest area of the ship. With only a few hours before the passengers return from excursions ready to dance the night away in the piazza, Scott and his team will have to fix it, clean up the mess and make sure it's all looking shipshape again.
