A.K.A Hellcat Recap

At the funeral, Trish talks about how Dorothy pushed her to get the part in That's Our Girl.

-----

Dorothy runs lines with Young Trish and criticizes her acting, reminding her that they're down to their last dime. She tells Young Trish that it's all on her and asks if she's got it, and Young Trish says that she does.

-----

Trish calls Jessica to tell her that Gregory murdered Dorothy. She tells her adopted sister that Gregory has to pay, and then tells Dorothy's body that she's got it. Donning her mask, Trish goes to Gregory's apartment, knocks out the unis outside, breaks into Gregory's apartment, and easily beats him when he comes at her. Gregory asks where Jessica is, and Trish removes her mask. She attacks him and Gregory gets her in a chokehold. Trish knocks him off and he grabs his knife, and Trish takes it and cuts his arm, then scars his face with her fingernails. Picking up the knife, Trish prepares to kill Gregory. Jessica arrives and tackles Trish.

-----

At the hotel, Jessica wipes the blood off of Trish's face. Trish says that Dorothy's murder is real and she's gone, and breaks into tears. Jessica comforts her and then removes Gregory's blood from beneath Trish's fingernails, and gets the call from Eddy. She turns on the news and hears Jeri offering a reward for the identification of the vigilante. Jessica tells Trish to stay there until she gets some answers and leaves.

-----

Dorothy takes Young Trish to the audition, having given her a red wig because EP Devlin Hoskin's hair is red. She tears up the script and goes to the front of the line, claiming that she's getting a new script. When the door opens to Devlin's office, Dorothy calls to him and reminds him of who she is. Devlin notices Young Trish's red hair and invites her in to read.

-----

Trish hears a couple arguing next door. As she listens, Malcolm arrives with her clothes. He offers his condolences and says that Dorothy's murder isn't her fault. Trish says that it's Gregory's fault and then snaps when the couple continue arguing. She says that she can't do it anymore, and Malcolm leaves. Trish pounds on the wall and the man comes over and demands to know what she's doing. When he says that his girlfriend got what she asked for, Trish kicks him into the hallway and beats him, then goes back into her room.

Later, Trish is exercising when Jessica and Erik arrive. Trish says that Dorothy is saved because Erik is a coward, and tells him that he doesn't deserve her forgiveness. Once Erik leaves, Jessica tells Trish that she has no idea what he did for her. Outside, Erik calls someone and says that he needs a game. Inside, Jessica that she destroyed the DNA evidence to keep Trish out of jail.

Trish goes to the hospital and tries to get into Gregory's room. A uni tells her that Gregory isn't receiving visitors, but Gregory tells the uni to let Trish through. Gregory tells Trish that she won't get very far if she kills him, and says that the unis will shoot her because she assaulted two officers. Trish says that the unis won't protect Gregory forever, and Gregory tells her that if she kills him then it will waste everything Jessica did to keep her out of prison. He figures that she kills because it makes her feel powerful, and she hasn't seen his latest photo yet that he left in the most obvious place.

Going to her apartment, Trish tells the Officer Pickett that she needs to get something from the crime scene of Dorothy's to remind her. Pickett lets her in and Trish goes through the photo albums.

-----

Young Trish and Dorothy return home and Dorothy says that Young Trish should have told them to talk to her before the girl took the role. Dorothy complains that Young Trish didn't get the role of Patsy and that she got the role of sidekick. Carrie Leigh got the lead, but she has chicken pox. Dorothy tells Young Trish to offer to read and then read Carrie's part. When Young Trish says that she doesn't want to, Dorothy pinches her and says that she hasn't done anything to get the part. Young Trish calls the producers to volunteer to read.

-----

Trish looks through the albums and finally locates the photo Gregory put in them of Dorothy dying. Once she takes it, Trish leaves and the doorman, Omar, offers his condolences. He says that there's always something they can do. Trish goes to Erik's apartment and knocks, and she says that there's a way for him to make what he's done right. She comes in and suggests that he put bad people away. There are others who will hurt people and Erik knows who they are, and wants to take them down to save lives. Trish realizes that Erik knows someone, and he says that there's a dirty cop, Carl. Erik says that Carl killed poor kids and took their money, and paid Erik off twice. Trish wants to video his confession and put it online to force an investigation, and reminds Erik that he's the only one who knows Carl is guilty. She assures Erik that no one will know about his involvement, including Jessica. Trish insists that she has to do something good to counteract the hideousness, and Erik says that he'll go with her. She tells him to find an isolated place and get Carl to meet him there.

-----

Patsy reads the lead part and everyone applauds.

-----

That night, Trish and Erik go to the docks with a phone. Carl arrives and Erik senses him, and warns that Carl isn't happy about being blackmailed a third time. The officer comes in, gun drawn, and yells to Erik that he knows everything about him. Trish hides in the shadows and recites the names and ages of the people that Carl killed. He assumes that it's Jessica and insists that he didn't pay blackmail but executed a sting to catch Erik.

Trish attacks and tasers Carl, and she imagines him as Gregory. She hits him with his own nightstick and recites the names of his victims, while Erik records the entire thing on the camera. Carl insists that he did the taxpayers a favor, and Erik steps out and tells Trish that they have what they need. The officer goes as Erik, and Trish trips him. Carl slams his head into a pillar and falls to the floor, stunned. Trish takes his badge, saying that he doesn't deserve it, and Carl bleeds out. He dies before they can do anything and Erik laughs. Trish says that it wasn't supposed to happen, and Erik tells her that the pain in his head is gone. She says that they have to go and pulls Erik away.

-----

Trish goes to the funeral home and when Jessica doesn't show up, Gene goes to reschedule his next appointment. A news report comes up on her phone about Carl's death, and the police are investigating a person of interest. Jessica comes in and Trish hides the phone. Afterward, Trish goes out and the two police detectives confront her. They hope Trish can answer some questions that Jessica didn't answer earlier. Trish insists that Jessica didn't kill Carl, and Jessica comes out and leads her away.

Later, Trish goes to Erik's apartment and tells him that the police think Jessica killed Carl. Erik figures he should have made sure Jessica had an alibi, and suggests that Carl's killer rough up someone else while Jessica has an alibi. He warns that Jessica will realize what they did, and Trish says that right now Jessica thinks Erik killed Carl. Trish tells him to make sure Jessica knows he didn't do it, and she doesn't want Jessica to lose Erik as well. Erik agrees and goes to check his files.

-----

Devlin and the other producers talk, and Young Trish asks Dorothy what they're talking about. Dorothy figures that they'll offer Young Trish the lead, and tells her to act like an adult and lead by an example by helping the other actors. She tells Patsy that the cast and crew are depending on her to be perfect, and says that it's hard but there's no backing out. Dorothy tells Young Trish that it's daunting but if she doesn't do it, she's being selfish. Young Trish wonders if she owes Dorothy, and Dorothy tells her that she owes the world and has to give it back. Devlin comes over and tells Trish that she has the lead.

-----

Trish and Erik go to Montero's construction site, and Erik says that twelve people died when Montero had his own properties burned down. Montero built an old building in Queens, and Trish tells Erik that he's amazing and could change the world. Erik just wants an alibi for Jessica and doesn't know about the future. Trish says that he can help people and figures he won't be able to walk away from it. Montero arrives and Erik reminds Trish that they have to make sure Jessica is somewhere public before Trish can attack Montero.

-----

After Trish's first performance, Dorothy tells her that she did it and she's TGIF. Devlin tells them that ABC figures the show will be a hit and Dorothy has heard that they're going to change the show to add Trish's stage name of Patsy, and suggests that Devlin get ahead of it by renaming the show That's Our Patsy. The EP agrees and leaves, and Dorothy tells Trish that she's proud of her.

-----

At her loft, Trish looks at herself in the mirror. There's a knock at the door, and Trish discovers that it's Jeri. Trish says that their business relationship is over, and Jeri tells her that she can help her if Trish helps her. The lawyer shows Trish the video from Malcolm's album and the reflection of Trish's face in the monitor, and Trish invites her in. Jeri says that her clients will sue Trish and the police will press charges for assaulting the two unis. Trish puts her foot to Jeri's throat and says that she's going to bury Dorothy because of her. Jeri tells her that she'll destroy the footage in return for Trish stealing something from Demetri. She explains that Demetri is a bad person because he's trying to hurt someone she loves, and Trish goes after bad people. Trish lowers her foot and Jeri says that she'll send Trish the specifics. As Jeri goes, Trish tells her to remember that she goes after bad people.

After the funeral, Trish looks for Jessica who left early. Defford asks her where Jessica is, and Trish sees Erik in the crowd before he walks away. Back at her loft, Trish calls and tells Erik that the police have a warrant for Jessica's arrest. He points out that Jessica has no alibi, but Trish figures that Montero will tell the police that it wasn't Jessica. Erik believes that it's too risky, and Trish gets Carl's badge and says that she'll have evidence to back up Montero's story. Trish tells Erik to meet her, but he says that they should wait for daylight in case the police are watching Trish.

The next day, Trish meets Erik and before they meet, he spots Jessica following Trish. He calls Trish and tells her to walk past him, and then calls 911 and reports Jessica's location. The police arrive and arrest Jessica.

That night, the masked Trish goes to Montero's construction trailer and says that she's there to take his confession. She figures that he's going to burn the building that he recently bought, and Montero grabs a baseball bat and attacks her. Trish disarms him and beats him, and Erik stands outside and listens. She tells Montero to say that she did it rather than Jessica, and imagines Montero as Gregory as she beats him.

Erik comes in and Trish glares at him, and realizes that she's killed Montero. She says that Montero attacked him, and Erik reminds her that they were doing it to clear Jessica and they needed Montero alive. Erik feels the darkness in Trish and runs off. Trish puts Carl's badge on Montero's body and goes after Erik. He says that Trish lost control, and she asks if the world is better with Montero dead. Erik tells her that he's done with it, and Trish remembers Dorothy telling her that she has to give it back. She says that she knows who is next, tells Erik that she's got it, and walks off.
