The Slime People Recap

Morning on the Satellite of Love. Joel and Tom show they're not morning people. Crow is unbearably chipper. In the invention exchange, Joel demonstrates eyepieces that let him bug his eyes out like a cartoon character. The Mads have created cotton candy that screams when one eats it.

To start things off, the Mads present chapter seven of Radar Man from the Moon, where Cody and the two crooks brilliantly leap out of their vehicles before they collide. The Moon Men then provide the crooks with an atom bomb to drop into an inactive volcano, making it unfortunately active. Nobody worries about pesky things like fallout. The main feature is The Slime People, a 1963 movie about the titular "slime people" who emerge from deep beneath the earth to attack LA and surround it with an impenetrable wall made out of fog. Only four people, including a beautiful woman, stand in the way.

-----

At the first break, Crow prosecutes an effigy of Commander Cody for crimes against physics and acting. Joel is the judge, and Tom is the impassioned defense attorney who is really really into it.

-----

Joel tries to explain how a movie like The Slime People was made by someone taking advantage of the gullibility of a financier. However, when Tom and Crow suggest they make a TV show about a man and his bots stranded on an island and forced to watch bad TV by "evil commodores", Joel thinks that no one would ever accept the premise.

-----

The bots tamper with Gypsy to flood the bridge with fog to see if it's as scary as it is in the movie. It isn't, but then again it isn't scary in the movie, either. Talk turns to the inconsistencies in the movie, and Joel goes off to fix Gypsy.

-----

Joel makes a silicon diode pie for Crow but Gypsy eats it. Tom is mysteriously absent. The guys read a letter from a fan, and Clayton, Larry, and the talking cotton candy from earlier sign out.
