In 1972, Annie Gréco, the first woman appointed police commissioner in France, took up her duties in general disbelief at the Lille police station. As soon as she arrives, she must go to a crime scene. Actor Richard Planck was indeed found dead in his trailer, on the set of his new feature film. The main suspect is none other than the young star of the film, Anna Delange, who had a stormy romantic relationship with Richard. Gréco recruits the worst hothead of the police station, Inspector Max Beretta, as his deputy. To cure his problems of violence, the superintendent obliges him to undergo therapy with a young psychologist who is a little crazy, Rose Bellecour...

Two young models are murdered a few days apart. The first tracks take Gréco to the fashion magazine "Femmes" and its sulphurous photographer, John Devers, who likes very young girls. When a third young model from the magazine is murdered, the divisional superintendent puts Gréco on the sidelines and entrusts the case to a Parisian "crime" star. Annoyed to death, Greco resigns. But she makes it a point of honor to find the murderer before anyone else by leading the investigation from her hotel room, with her two assistants Max and Rose in a submarine at the police station...

Meanwhile, Rose discovers, horrified, that the murderer could very well be one of her patients. Indeed, Rico, a very psychologically disturbed musician, is convinced that Sky stole a song from him. Since then, he has sworn revenge.

Superintendent Gréco and Inspector Max Beretta are drawn into a sulphurous place, a magnificent castle transformed into an ultra-select nightclub, where Madame Maude brings together for the pleasure of her wealthy clients young students who are not shy. . But the French secret services have already taken over the premises for a secret operation, and Greco's team will have no choice but to investigate incognito. Rose, always there and ready to help, disguises herself as a call-girl while Beretta takes on that of a client, which causes many misunderstandings...

Rose was giving a psychology presentation in a very selective boarding school when a teacher is murdered. Gréco and Beretta find amount of leads indicating Rose is the killer. Beretta is hired as substitute teacher in order to find the truth.
