Season 2 - Episode Guide

Captain Dietrich monitors a broadcast to the Patrol from HQ and then intercepts them on their way to meet and escort a supply convoy. With the odds decidedly against the Rats, Troy takes refuge in an oasis. A young Arab girl playing nearby runs away, terrified of the noise, and falls down an old well. The Rat Patrol and Dietrich's unit agree to a truce and work together to save the child, who is still alive. But the arrival of a second German unit complicates the reluctant peace, shooting Tully. Ultimately, they rescue the child, and the Patrol escapes in the confusion.

The Rat Patrol ambushes a German courier and finds charts in his papers of desert waterholes and oases unknown to the Allies or the Germans. Suddenly Captain Deitrich's patrol attacks, wounding Tully and destroying the Patrol's jeeps, water and weapons. Troy and the crew strike out for a waterhole mentioned on the chart. Hours later, near their end, Troy and his men stagger toward an inviting waterhole only to find it poisoned. On a distant dune, they see Dietrich. Tully is near the end because of his wound. Dietrich offers to accept Troy's surrender. The Rat Patrol's only chance for survival is infiltrating Dietrich's encampment and stealing a vehicle.

The Patrol attempts to destroy supplies in a small village where the Germans are loading a train with ammunition. However, the Germans are using a small group of Arabs (including women and children) to load the ammunition. One of the women stumbles upon Troy and offers to help by warning her people. But as Troy attempts to plant the explosives, Dietrich catches on to the plan and gives an alarm. Troy ends up shot and captured. It is now up to the rest of the Patrol to cause enough diversion to get him free. The woman continues to plead with Dietrich to give Troy medical attention. As Dietrich is questioning Troy, though, Troy breaks free, shoots the German, and can get the explosives planted with the Arab woman's father's help. The train goes up, but the father dies.

A heavily guarded German fortress appears impervious to the Rat Patrol's efforts to destroy its big supply depot. So, Troy determines their only chance to blow the depot is to capture a German tank and use it to get past the guards.

Troy accidentally wounds a German nurse when the Patrol ambushes an Afrika Korps supply column. She is the lone survivor and requires urgent medical attention. The team faces the choice of completing their mission or allowing the girl to die. A guilt-stricken Troy desperately decides to take her to a nearby German field hospital. The only problem is that on the way, she overhears a piece of vital information.

Capt. Richter must convey a large cache of "confiscated" diamonds to Berlin to finance the Nazi desert campaign. The Rat Patrol must steal the diamonds from a military HQ in the desert. But, brute force will not succeed, so they need to attempt a plan full of guile and cunning to pull the theft off. So, Troy infiltrates the German H.Q., posing as a blinded Afrika Korps officer.

En route to a meeting with an unknown Arab agent, Dietrich ambushes the patrol wounding Troy. Except for Troy, they're all captured and taken to Dietrich's desert base. Troy eventually meets up with the agent, who turns out to be a teenage boy, and a female Irish teacher, but will she allow the boy to help Troy?

The Patrol's orders are to rescue famous American pop star Mickey Roberts captured by Dietrich. The singer is a P.O.W. in a small Afrika Korps compound, and the S.S. arrives to turn Roberts into a propaganda coup. Troy lets himself be captured to free Roberts. 

Hitchcock supervises a special mission to deliver secret new anti-aircraft shell fuses when a German unit attacks the transport convoy. An American deserter wounds Hitchcock during the attack. 
 

Dietrich leads a German commando raid to kidnap the 13-year-old mute son of British General Simms and take him to the Island of Rhodes. A German colonel holds the boy hostage to trade him for his father. The Rat Patrol must rescue the boy from the island's garrison with only the help of one Greek resistance fighter.

Moffitt takes over a mission to warn a British convoy of the contaminated plasma they are carrying.

Dietrich corners the Rat Patrol in a cellar with a pregnant Arab woman who has a valuable map and a French resistance fighter who has a personal vendetta against her over his wife's death. 

The Germans capture a British colonel under suspicious circumstances as he returns from a staff meeting regarding an upcoming Allied offensive. The Rat Patrol receives orders to either rescue or kill him before the Germans interrogate him. His Sikh aide insists on participating in the mission.

Moffitt infiltrates a German-held lighthouse posing as an electrician to learn the details of a German naval convoy carrying Tiger tanks headed for North Africa.

An Arab street kid is pursued by both the Rats and the Nazis when he gets hold of photos of secret German installations.

General Owen Lansbury, the head of British Intelligence in the Near East, bails out of his damaged plane behind enemy lines. After his rescue in the desert, he insists upon leading the Rat Patrol on a mission to disrupt a German oil pipeline, despite his deteriorated condition. The Rats contemplate mutiny when the injured and delirious general tries to take control of the team.

A Nazi soldier posing as an Allied contact who carries a critical map attracts Troy's attention by his reluctance to ambush some German soldiers.

Moffitt runs into an old girlfriend, now a French Resistance fighter. She joins the Rat Patrol on a mission to rescue a French space scientist.

Sadistic SS Captain Wansee arrests the Swiss Red Cross worker Miss Arno vaccinating a North African village threatened by typhus. This mentally unstable SS officer breaks a truce in an attempt to capture the Rat Patrol, but Dietrich intervenes

The Rat Patrol falls prey to a clever Nazi scheme when they rush to aid a band of trapped Allied soldiers, who are really Dietrich's soldiers. Taking a page out of Troy's playbook, Dietrich and three of his men pose as the Rat Patrol to infiltrate an Allied supply depot.
 

A German colonel, crippled in an earlier raid by the Rat Patrol, captures Troy's brother, an RAF pilot, in a plan for revenge to trap and destroy them.

The arrival of a team of teenage guerrilla fighters spells "double-trouble" for the Patrol. The embittered young partisans, led by a 17-year-old Jean-Claude with his fiery girlfriend Monique, are determined to do things their way in an unplanned raid in an impenetrable S.S. camp, even though this means putting the Patrol temporarily out of action.

The Rat Patrol is assigned a mission to safeguard POWs being held at a German repair depot that bombers will target. On the eve of the mission, Moffitt receives word that a German bomb killed his younger brother in London. Rage consumes Moffitt making him unreliable and endangering the mission to avenge his brother.

Troy goes undercover to receive a locket of microfilm from a female French Resistance fighter. But before both are captured, he hurriedly disposes of the microfilm in an open grave. After Troy refuses to divulge the location of the locket, Dietrich sentences them both to hang--and Troy must find a way to get word to the Rat Patrol for rescue. 

Troy and Hitchcock are captured by a German colonel with a scheme for them to radio false information back to their headquarters. Meanwhile, an Italian officer who wants to surrender to Moffitt and Pettigrew complicates rescue attempts. The Italian officer's sense of humor helps facilitate the escape of two Rats.
 

The appalling brutality of a Nazi general makes him a prime target for an Allied offensive. The Rat Patrol is ordered to go with a South African sniper on a mission to kill the German general, but Troy decides to try to capture the general alive.
