EJ begins a journey of self-discovery; Drew realizes his partying could lead to some serious health issues; Maya introduces her boyfriend to her conservative mother; Sanaz and Kyle argue.

EJ and Elisa visit their father's hometown of Lansing, Mich., where they get a reality check about what it's going to take to become successful. In other happenings, Elisa struggles with the aftermath of meeting her birth family; and Maya flirts with temptation during a girls' night out in Brooklyn.
