Five girls enter the Shanti Bhavan school, where teachers and staff raise them, educate them and empower them to change their families' futures.

As the girls struggle with the pressures of school, they must also navigate the sharp contrasts between family traditions and their modern world.

Now attending college, some of the students are torn between family expectations, pressure to uplift their communities and their own dreams.

While some of the girls continue their schooling others have moved onto careers, where they work to fulfill their mission of helping others.
