It's too bad because almost everything about the show is pretty good, even if it is a bit campy. The only real problem is a handful of poor writing decisions that make it impossible for the audience's to suspend disbelief. For example they chose to "spin up a planet" (ridiculously dumb) when they could have chosen to "generate a protective magnetic field" (plausible). So the show earns ~4 stars when it could have earned 7 or 8.
