Donnie Yen

Born in Guangzhou, China, Donnie Yen moved to Hong Kong at the age of two and immigrated to the US when he was twelve. His mother, a famous martial arts grandmaster, began training him at a young age, and he also began playing piano, encouraged by his violinist father. In his teens he took up hip-hop and break dancing. He exploded onto the Hong Kong movie scene when he was cast in the lead role of Chan Chuen Chung in the 1984 film Drunken Tai Chi, this debut film immediately established him as a viable leading man,
