Born in Laie, Hawaii, Keala Settle graduated from Brigham Young University Hawaii in 1996, and went on to continue her studies at Southern Utah University, graduating in 1998. She made her Broadway debut in 2011 in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and also made a guest appearance that same year in an episode of The Big C. She is known as the powerhouse voice behind the Academy Award nominated song 'This is Me' from the 2017 film The Greatest Showman.
