Born in San Francisco, California, James Daniels O'Donoghue moved to Ireland at a young age, where he grew up around the film and television scene of Dublin City. His first role was as series regular Ben Fahey in RTÉ's Fair City. He played a Young Viper Higgins in cult-classic series Hardy Bucks, before taking on the role of Calum Dwyer in RTÉ/BBC's Smother. He plays Luka Otis in AMC's Sanctuary: A Witch's Tale. O'Donoghue trained at the New York Film Academy and the Bow Street Academy in Dublin.
