Babado Novo

Babado Novo is a Brazilian axé band formed in 2001. Originally led by Claudia Leitte on vocals, the band gained repercussion throughout Brazil from 2003 onwards, producing hits such as "Eu Fico", "Safado, Cachorro, Sem-Vergonha", "Bola de Sabão", "Insolação do Coração" and "Doce Paixão". On December 6, 2007, the singer announced that she would leave the group after the 2008 Carnival to pursue a solo career, taking the musicians with her.
