Olivia Hussey

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Olivia Hussey spent most of her early life in her mother's native England. Determined to become an actress, she studied drama for five years at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London, taking modeling and walk-on parts to help pay her fees. As a teen she appeared in a 1964 episode of Drama 61-67. In 1966 she appeared in the London production of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, which led to her being scouted for the role of Juliet in the 1968 film adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.
