Theater director Nika Subbotina returns to her hometown on the anniversary of her father's death and discovers that the house now belongs to a new owner - her father's former business partner took over his company and married her mother. Nika gradually faces problems in her family, including a conflict with her new stepfather and the disappearance of her younger sister. Moreover, an old family friend suspects that Edward may be involved in the tragedy.
