This age formula of "maturity and flowering" was brought out by the great French theorist (and, of course, practitioner) of love Honore de Balzac in his novel "The Thirty-Year-Old Woman". The second part of the name is a direct consequence of the first. What else to do for beautiful and unmarried girls, if not the search for love?
