The Detour with David Chang - Episode Guide

David Chang and longtime friend Christina Tosi, founder of Milk Bar, make a pilgrimage to the legendary Benton's smokehouse in Madisonville, Tennessee that helped shape their early careers. The two eat everything they see along the way. 

Many have made the drive from LA to Las Vegas in search of fortune, glory, and… other vices. David Chang and Oscar-winner Cord Jefferson are heading into the desert to show that Vegas might just be the best eating city in America. 

David Chang is driving through Texas to find out what's new with barbecue, while his companion, comedian and Texas native Cristela Alonzo, introduces him to her side of the Lone Star State and the cuisine she grew up eating. 

David Chang joins best friend and creative partner Chris Ying for a wine-soaked romp through Northern California, where Chris tries to convince Chang to love the region's cuisine as they debate whether Mother Nature is behind its quality.

After being called out for writing off Pittsburgh's food scene, David Chang meets up with a native, actress Gillian Jacobs, to see what else he's got wrong. They then head to Philly to visit his favorite food spots, in a tale of two cities.

David Chang is dead set on visiting the Florida Keys without stopping in Miami, but actor and comedian Eric Andre blows up the itinerary and leads him on adventure through Jewish delis, Haitian kitchens, rum bars, and alligator farms.
