I remember watching Taken when it first aired back in 2002.
By the end of the first episode, I knew Steven Spielberg had produced something very, very special indeed & I eagerly waited for the next episode in the hope that it would continue to to keep me as engrossed and entertained as the last one....
I wasn't disappointed!
The series has the slogan "Three Families, Four Generation, Fifty Years of Secrets", but it is so much more than that.
Each of the ten feature length episodes follows different characters and decades from the first sighting of the "Blueies" in 1944 to 2002, where the story concludes.
The three families the series centres on are the Keys, the Crawfords, and the Clarkes.
The Crawfords are trying to cover up the Roswell crash and the fact that aliens exist; the Keys, who are subject to frequent experimentation by the aliens; and the Clarkes, who sheltered one of the surviving aliens from the Roswell crash.
Each episode is narrated by a very young Dakota Fanning, who later appeared in the series as Allie.
With a $40 million budget, this was a huge commitment for the SyFy channel, but it absolutely was money well spent, in my opinion.
Over 4 days prior to writing this article, I've had the pleasure of watching the whole series once more & it was still as good now as the first time I watched it. For those that haven't seen the series, I very highly recommend you do so! Here is a trailer for it:
Did you watch the series and if so, did you enjoy it as much as I did? Please, do share your thoughts and views, below. I look forward to reading them.

I've watched this series twice! I enjoyed it immensely both times. I've even shared it with others who also loved it. Spielberg's best work!

After reading this article I dug out these DVDs and watched this show again. After all these years it still feels current and is as enjoyable now as when it was first released. Thanks for the reminder, Tony.
this has got to be one of Spielbergs best creations, it's compelling you won't want to stop watching
