A pickpocket and mugger in New Orleans, Jody is a sometimes ally of Yancy. He has a tendency to be in the wrong spot at the wrong time, and a little bit of "physical persuasion" usually convinces him to help Yancy.
Jody is a patriotic Southerner, and has an ailing mother (or claims that he does) who he often uses as an excuse for his life of crime. Despite his rough exterior, he has a soft spot for children.
