Olivia Caliban

Olivia Caliban was the school librarian at Prufrock Preparatory School, and tried to help the Baudelaires and Quagmires as best she could. After they were kidnapped, she found the book, The Incomplete History of Secret Organizations. She looked for Mr. Poe in the city and tried to tell him how orphans were being taken advantage of, but he did not listen. She went out to leave for Prufrock Prep, but the trolley left her behind and she was almost run over by a taxi, the driver was Jacques Snicket. She went into his taxi and helped him look for the Quagmires, but have no luck finding them. They then looked for them at the Village of Fowl Devotees, but Olaf captures them. Olivia makes a deal with Esmè to get out of jail by telling her she knows the location of the sugar bowl. She leaves the village and says bye to Jacques, but he gets murdered shortly afterwards. Olivia disguises herself as Madame Lulu and pretends to know the location of the survivors of the Baudelaire fire. She reunites with the Baudelaires, disguised as Beverly and Elliot, and Chabo the wolf baby, and tells them that she lied to Olaf about the survivor of the fire. They plan an escape. She is about to tell them about the sugar bowl when Olaf comes back with two starving lions, and announces that one of the freaks will be eaten the next day. On the day of the lion show, Beverl and Elliot are picked to jump into the lion pit, but they protest and say that it will be more exciting to be pushed into the pit. Olaf almost does, but backs away when the lions act aggresi towards him, and Esme states that it would be a good idea for Madame Lulu to push them. Olivia gets on the plank, and a skirmish breaks out. She pushes the Baudelaires over the pit and tells them she is right behind them. She takes out the spyglass, and Olaf recognizes her as "that school librarian" and Olivia says she is more than that, and that she is a volunteer. Olaf takes this to mean she is volunteering to be eaten by lions and he cuts the rope holding the plank, so she falls, while screaming, into the pit and gets torn apart and devoured alive by the lions, horrifying the crowd
