In all the multiverse, before the anti-monitor destroyed it, there is no version of Malcolm that doesn't attempt to cover this up. I could see them successfully doing it, then having one or both of them gradually mentally break down while a team member slowly puts the pieces together. Would make a decent season arc for Malcolm and Dani's relationship to have her be the one to figure it out.
Few weeks back I was at my sisters house as she was working her way through her DVR which included 10 cop shows in 3 languages. I hadn't heard of half of them and hadn't contemplated watching the other half so for me to be actively rooting for a cop show renewal is a rare thing but here I am hoping it comes back.
Absolutely excellent episode. In hoping that Fox renews, I can see clearly Malcolm trying to cover up for his sister, which would ultimately put him in an even more severe mental state. I really hope they don't take it in that direction, if renewed, which I sincerely hope they will.

Epic finale, Fox seriously better renew it for a second season. And Gil better survive.
One of the best season finale's I've seen in years. Though now I'm remembering a show from some years back, "Those Who Kill", where the pilot episode made it abundantly clear that the lead character was a sociopath but then in the very next episode completely abandoned that premise.
So I'm really hoping they do this right. Seems they have two paths. Flashbacks through Ainsley's formative years showing predatory inclinations were always just under the surface, a foundation laid in the episode where her boyfriend got stabbed. Or go with the acronym that has forever, and one could argue detrimentally, altered tv, PTSD. Make the case that despite all of attention on Malcolm, she's had her own demons as a result of her lineage. Based on an article I read on deadline, the second, which isn't my preferred, path seems to be their goal.
