Behaving strangely after mysteriously going AWOL, Harry is called in to investigate the murder of a members' club owner in Shoreditch. The team have a prime suspect but Harry has his own ideas about who is responsible.

Yury holds the revolver to Harry’s head, and Harry stares at Eve. The Russian pulls the trigger but nothing happens. He figures that Yury believes, but he hasn’t learned how to manipulate luck and now it’s too late. Yury puts the sixth bullet and final in the chamber, spins it, and prepares to shoot Harry again.
