Families and communities revealed for 2nd series of 'Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA' on W

This is the fifth series in the Sleeps Over collection, produced by Firecracker Films and distributed by Passion Distribution, and follows Stacey Dooley as she travels to different US states to lift the lid on more fascinating and unusual lifestyles. These include:

The Brothel:

Established in 1971, the Mustang Ranch is Nevada's oldest licensed brothel and prides itself on being the safest home for sex workers. The Ranch is managed by two former working women - Madam's Jennifer and Tara - who receive up to 20 new applicants per day.

During her stay, Stacey meets the working women and explores the positives and negatives of the legal brothel industry. She also gets the chance to meet Mustang's oldest courtesan, 68-year-old Erica.

Today, Mustang Ranch remains as one of the nineteen legal brothels still in existence in the United States, with several facing difficulties reopening post-pandemic, making it a unique and extraordinary community.

Two Mums, One Dad:

Linda and Chris from Fort Lauderdale, in South Florida, were a straight married couple for nearly a decade. They had two children together but in 2021, Linda came out as gay. The couple decided to split up but continued to live together and raise their young kids.

Linda quickly met Maddy, and on their first date Maddy confessed she'd always wanted to have a child of her own and was already on the lookout for local sperm donors. Linda suggested her ex-husband Chris and after some thought, remarkably, Chris said yes - as long as he could be the dad.

Stacey meets the family a few months after the birth of baby Arlo, with three co-parenting adults and three children all living under one roof.

The Mormon with Two Wives:

The practicing Mormon polygamist family the Allredge's have set up home in Hot Springs, South Dakota. Patriarch, Jeff, married both Vanessa and Sharis in spiritual services and is currently on the lookout for a third wife to expand the clan.

Between previous wife Cynthia and his current wives, Jeff has 17 children. The family live off the land on their farm and their children are home-schooled. Multiple wives are not condoned by the official Mormon religion and the family have been excommunicated. Jeff has stuck to his principles and now has nowhere to practice his beliefs but his own home.

Stacey wants to understand how an arrangement weighted so heavily in favour of the patriarch can benefit the women who end up being one of many partners.

Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA returns in March on W and UKTV Play, with all previous series available to stream for free on UKTV Play.
