Netflix Announces ‘Chicken Nugget’ March 15 Debut

Prepare to feast your eyes on the quirky and humorous Netflix series, Chicken Nugget, premiering March 15. A bizarre comic-mystery drama, the series takes you on a rollercoaster ride with Sun-man (Ryu Seung-ryong) as he navigates an absurd mission: To rescue his daughter, Min-ah (Kim You-jung), who has turned into a chicken nugget after a mishap with a strange machine. Along for the wild ride is Baek-joong (Ahn Jae-hong), who has a secret crush on Min-ah.

The show is already turning heads, thanks to its unique premise and the creative genius behind it. Known for his blockbuster Extreme Job — the second highest-grossing film in Korea — and the TV series Be Melodramatic, director Lee Byeong-heon’s knack for snappy dialogues, rhythmic storytelling, and well-timed humor promises to make Chicken Nugget a memorable watch. The Ryu Seung-ryong and Ahn Jae-hong pairing is another highlight to look forward to.

Ryu Seung-ryong steps into the shoes of Choi Sun-man, a desperate father and the owner of “More Than Machine,” who will stop at nothing to bring his daughter back to her human form. Ahn Jae-hong is set to charm audiences as Ko Baek-joong, an intern at Sun-man’s company, secretly smitten by Min-ah. Special appearances by Kim You-jung as Choi Min-ah, who turns into a chicken nugget, and Jung Ho-yeon as the top Korean culinary columnist, Hongcha, add to the star-studded cast.

Mark your calendars for March 15,  as Chicken Nugget promises to serve up a hearty helping of laughter, only on Netflix.
