Elvis Stojko, will guest star on the new CBC original comedy series 'One More Time'

CBC and Counterfeit Pictures today announced that beloved two-time Olympic medalist, figure skater Elvis Stojko, will guest star on the new original comedy series ONE MORE TIME (13x30), from award-winning stand-up comedian D.J. Demers (The Tonight Show, Conan) and showrunner Jessie Gabe (Workin' Moms, Mr. D). Stojko will play himself in the seventh episode of the series, entitled “Lazer Blade.” airing Tuesday, February 20th on CBC and the free CBC Gem streaming service.

Stojko is one of Canada’s most decorated male figure skaters, having won back-to-back Olympic silver medals at Lillehammer 1994 and Nagano 1998 to go with his three world titles (1994, 1995, 1997) and seven national titles (1994, 1996-2000, 2002). Stojko was inducted to Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame in 2011.

A CBC original comedy series, ONE MORE TIME is a workplace comedy about DJ (played by Demers), the hard-of-hearing manager of a second-hand sporting goods store, and the team of "enthusiastic" employees he leads. DJ’s optimistic, community-oriented outlook on life is challenged at every turn, as he and his team struggle to keep the small independent shop alive.
