Kate Bottley

The Reverend Kate Bottley, is vicar of three churches in rural North Nottinghamshire, and a Further Education college chaplain of UK .

Kate studied theology at university and trained to be a secondary RE teacher. She was ordained in 2008 and is passionate about the occasional offices (weddings, christenings and funerals) and the opportunity they present for connecting with those who are not regular churchgoers.

Kate is a regular on TV and radio, and has written for the Guardian, the Independent and Radio Times. She is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 2's Pause for Thought on the Chris Evans' breakfast show, and appears regularly with her husband Graham on the Channel 4 BAFTA winning TV show ‘Gogglebox'. Kate presented BBC One's hour-long Good Friday documentary ‘In the footsteps of Judas' in 2016.

Kate went to her first Greenbelt festival in 1991 and has been a regular ever since. She loves the Jesus Arms, the Tiny Tea Tent and those ‘stumble across moments' that you just can't plan for. Kate says ‘Greenbelt for me is like coming home. I take the time away from work as a retreat which resources me for my faith in the year ahead. I've found the Divine more times than I can recall while chatting to a stranger in the Jesus Arms.
