Daughter of Matthew Modine and Caridad Modine (b. Rivera), goddaughter of David Alan Grier, Ruby Modine began taking drama and music classes before appearing as a child in the short film "Smoking," written by David Seders. She has also appeared in Rabbit Bandini's "A Visit from the Goonsquad," directed by Shandor Garison and produced by James Franco.
Singing in her down time, Ruby has recorded a bevy of original songs and covers. Her music can currently be heard in the short film "Super Sex," for which she also stars. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. She can also be seen in this spring's "Memoria," alongside James Franco. This fall, she will co-star in the indie horror feature "Central Park."
Modine currently resides in Los Angeles.
